Whenever there’s a barbecue, I somehow always end up in charge of the booze. As to quote my best friend: “It’s part of your calling in life I guess.” Oh well, we should all do what we do best. So today I’m gonna share my favourite home made Sangria recipe and a non alcoholic recipe too.
Sangria (serves 4 thirsty people)
One bottle of red wine (a light and fruity one)
One bottle of prosecco
a sip of brandy
a cup full of strawberries
500 ml of sparkling water
2 spoons of sugar
a tray of icecubes
Mint lime water
half a cucumber
handful of mint
a tray of ice cubes
as much water as fits in the water jug
Fresh picked strawberries are always the best choice
Try to get a little helper if you can
Sangria how to: mix the red wine, prosecco, and sparkling water in a large bowl. Cut the orange in parts and strawberries in half. Add the fruit to the bowl. Add brandy to taste. Add 2 spoons of sugar and and icecubes right before serving.
Mint lime water how to: cut the lime in small parts and add the lime and mint to the jug. Add the ice cubes, the water and cut the cucumber in thin slices and add to the water.
